Elizabeth is one of the only characters in Pride and Prejudice who changes significantly over the course of the story. She is seen to be an atypical female during those times. Wit, bravery, independence, and feminist views Elizabeth shares make her a totally different young woman than other women of her society. She is quick to make judgements. She worries that her sister Jane will get hurt by her trusting nature. Elizabeth is therefore a true individual who adapts to the world around her, and seeks constantly to better understand her desires so that she can find happiness. Elizabeth is different from her other sisters. Actually by the word of “woman of 18th century” the image of a beautiful, shy, silly and headstrong woman comes to our mind. But Elizabeth is different from this common type as she is different from her other sisters.
