5. “They’re such beautiful shirts,” she sobs. “It makes me sad because I’ve never seen such beautiful shirts before.”

 

Daisy starts to sob when she sees the shirts because showing his shirts seems vulgar.  Daisy realizes that nothing really changes except for the size of his checkbook.
