An LLM in International Law is the right path for me since it opens the possibility of continuing my studies at a doctoral level which is something that I really wish to do since I am really passionate about researching issues relating to International Law and developing my own thoughts and ideas on several issues. That said I believe that through my research on how to resolve issues like the ones relating to Cyprus named above, I can have an impact on improving the situation and thus a postgraduate degree is as I consider, an essential and helpful starting point. Furthermore, I want to learn as much as possible on issues that interest me like the law of the sea, humanitarian law and state responsibility thus I am more than confident that a postgraduate degree will indeed equip me with such knowledge. My academic background will indeed help me strive in a postgraduate degree in International Law. Having studied a mixed LLB degree in both Law and Politics, in my opinion, gives a very big advantage. Firstly International Law and Human Rights Law were my favourite subjects throughout the three years of the degree since I found that they closely connected with the issues of Cyprus mentioned above but also because of the gravity and importance of issues relating to those subjects
