Jane Eyre Questions Chapter 3

1. Why was Jane taken to her room? Jane is taken to her room because she faints in the red room and so Mrs. Reed calls an apothecary to see if she’s ill.

2. Who is Mr. Lloyd? Mr. Lloyd is an apothecary that Mrs. Reed calls to take care of the servants when they are sick.

3. If Mrs. Reed or her children were sick, would they call Mr. Lloyd? Why? Mrs. Reed would call a physician so that she was actually made well instead of an apothecary like she calls for the servants.

4. Where is Jane’s room located? Why? Jane’s room is located in the nursery so that she is a safe away from the family as possible, physically and emotionally.
