Due to lack of financial support, the children of families can tend to get bored and act out as the parents are unable to afford to pay for their children to partake in different activities to keep them occupied, which can result in children getting themselves into trouble due to boredom and involving themselves with people who have an extremely negative effect on the children’s behavior.

It was found that obesity in women and heavy smoking in men are independently associated with subsequent unemployment. Studies also show that women who are obese are at higher risk of unemployment than women who are not obese, it is also shown that obese women tend to translate to lower earnings. In saying this, with unemployment can come some benefits to individuals physical health. Studies have also demonstrated a positive correlationon between employment and better health, improved self-confidence, self-esteem, and happiness.
