The work environment for A& R reps varies massively as they are active over most of the country. A& R representatives often spend most of their career traveling as they need to go to different areas to find new talent, or to go to another meeting. This can be a stressful workplace sometimes as there are always deadlines and huge decisions that need to be made quickly meaning that if they make a wrong decision, it could put their job, and the record labels name on the line.
