Help with Questions to Brave New World: When John is talking with

When John is talking with Mustapha Mond about the lengths the government went to ensure stability and happiness, he notes “you seem to have paid a fairly high price for your happiness” (230). In Brave New World, do the ends justify the means, or have they paid “too high a price” for happiness, stability, and security?
