Only low dust content forage should be fed and when not available soaking or steaming can be useful. Deep littering bedding may be a useful strategy in reducing dust aerosolization.
Environmental monitoring using real-time monitoring is useful in identifying dust levels, however, BZ monitoring will be more accurate in calculating dust inspired by the horse. Less invasive methods of monitoring in the BZ need to be investigated.
