Those who oppose cosmetic plastic surgery argue that people who feel embarrassed about their body and have plastic surgery because of their embarrassment should be given mental therapy. However, therapy may not stick with you forever. People can easily tear people down which will cause people to go back to therapy, then they will leave, be torn down again and then go back; and then the cycle keeps going and going until this person is stuck in a constant, never-ending loop. The therapy will work for some people but not for others: Other people may need an extra push (which may be plastic surgery) to get into a good/better mindset.
Many people argue that undergoing plastic surgery is a large amount of money that is wasted, but why is spending money on something you would love to do a waste? If people have the money and they are serious about it, then they should go for it. People can spend their money on whatever they like, and they can do the same with their body. As long as the surgeon is trustworthy, then you should pay the cost if you are 100% sure if what you’re doing is right for you.
Some people have stated that they do not agree with plastic surgery because it ‘makes everyone look the same.’ But in addition to this, everyone who wants plastic surgery will change something different about themselves. If someone wants a nose job and another wants lip injections, will they look like identical twins after it? No.
