There has been a thorough investigation on the potential impacts on female-led companies with respect to both risk and performance. There’s also been a lot of research done on gender gap in risk aversion what other element can associate with risk aversion. The results of this study have been inadequate, this was one of the main motives for this study of proposal. Most of the past researchers compare gender differences to corporate companies and investment brokers. My research was to look at 30 participants who are finance and accounting students, which is very unique to past researchers, so this does create a new perception. Also, this research, takes into consideration how gender affects risk aversion, as my study consist of both male and female participants divided into groups.
My main motive was to shed light on the traditional belief of whether or not females are sincerely more risk averse than males. Regrettably, my results were not able to support my hypothesis, however this may be due to my sample size being very small and narrow compared to other scholars research of testing worldwide. Further, as stated before all the 30 participants were finance and accounting students, in order for their to be distinctions between the hypothesis, however it would have been best to use combination of participants with various backgrounds of knowledge. By doing so, this will be a greater variation of results. I believe if this study was accomplishes in a setting with proper equipped resource, the results would of backed up my hypothesis. Unfortunately, due to the limited time it had to be done with a small convenient sampling. It is very crucial to understand that if whether or not females are risk averse than males. Females will need to understand the stereotype that they are classified in corporate world and how this impact on there career growth and their financial commitment. It said, when an person educates themselves they gain more knowledge and could indeed make them more successful.
