Pro Europeans believe being in the EU is a good idea and think Britain benefits massively in many ways from being part of a larger group of countries. They strongly believe in the advantages of EU membership discussed above and believe they outweigh any costs. They are passionate about the fact it is in Britain best advantage to remain in the EU. Regarding parliamentary sovereignty, they agree that it is partly lost by being in the EU, however, they argue it is worth it because in return for agreeing to implement EU legislation Britain gains influence and clout, and its voice is amplified on the world stage as a result. They state leaving the EU will not increase sovereignty instead it will just weaken our influence internationally on various important issues. Furthermore it argues the British government would still be bound by various other organisations including the UN, NATO and various agreements with other nations so would still not have complete parliamentary sovereignty. Also, the UK could find itself in order to do trade deals having to follow rules that we have no say in writing like Norway.
